Torrey DeVitto, an American actress and musician who was born in New York, Huntington. York on 8th June 1984. She is an American model, actress and philanthropist. Torrey grew up within Winter Park Florida. Torrey deVitto comes from Italian origins. When she was in 4th grade, she played the violin in the orchestra at her secondary school. Later, at Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook Cook's weddings she played as an individual. The father of Torrey is a professional drummer with Billy Joel. Billy Joel announced during his performance at Wembley Arena, that DeVitto had been blessed to be a child during the time of the show. This announcement received huge applause from the audience. Torrey is now a household name because of her comical characters, including Melissa Hastings on ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars and Dr. Meredith Fell in The the CW's supernatural drama for teens, The Vampire Diaries. She was also a character in Carrie as Carrie in The CW series One Tree Hill. Torrey has been a Hospice advocate in the name of National Hospice and the Palliative Care Organization since 2011. Additionally, she's a supporter and advisor for the PETA HSU as well as the PETA HSU and RAINN Associations.
